![]() ![]() The MMO is already accepting a waiting list for beta access and if you’re interested you need to pop over to the Gamepot servers. Despite being published by Square Enix and bearing a very similar name, it has absolutely nothing to do with Final Fantasy. Fantasy Earth Zero is a massive multiplayer online role-playing game developed for Microsoft Windows.Originally developed by Puraguru (Vanillaware) and Multiterm under the title Fantasy Earth: The Ring of Dominion, it released under that title in February 2006 by Square Enix as a paid product through its PlayOnline service. Gamepot are in the loop as their LA office should allow them to network and market in the West more easily than the Japan based Square. Fantasy Earth Zero is a free-to-play MMORPG/strategy/third person shooter game that focuses on large scale PVP battles (50vs50) developed by Fenix Soft. And now, for the first time ever, North American players can step into a world from the creators of so many high-quality RPGs, completely for free.” 50 PvP system is pure, pulse-pounding excitement. A good example of how frantic the game can get comes from Thomas Lee, Gamepot’s director of business and marketing, who said Shocking? Perhaps – but it’s an illustration of how necessary it is for the RPG giant to crack the western market.Īnother step towards the West is the news that Square Enix to bring their free to play MMO Fantasy Earth to America (and, we presume, Europe).įantasy Earth Zero call their combat “Hyper-Active Battle System”. ![]() I hope somebody makes another game like FEZ in the near future.Square Enix have been talking about letting Western developers continue the Final Fantasy franchise. The only problem with the game was the company managing it. And the guilds, even if they hated each other, would still help one another just for the sake of their nation. You would have to gather 50 people before you could wage war on an island/land. Some would say Battle Royale games like Fortnite or PUBG could live up to my thirst for FEZ, but the faction aspect of the game is completely absent from the aforementioned games for me. It's action combat, has a great teamwork aspect, etc. The graphics would be shitty compared to today's standards, but the gameplay pretty much makes up for it. Fantasy Earth Zero boasts a vast game world that puts epic warfare directly in the hands of the players, emphasizing bristling battle systems, loyalty to friends and defending the players country. There are massive 50v50 PVPs in maps, with towers, chariots, dragons (turning into dragon is by luck), etc. There are various classes to choose from, the nations have their own respective leaders, representative colors, and quirks. In order to capture lands, you guessed it, there would be wars waged in these lands. ![]() ![]() These nations are fighting for land in the world. For anyone who's not familiar, the game world is divided into different nations. Man, that was one of the best MMOs that I have ever played. ![]()
